WE are ONE!! Thank you for joining the CONVERSATION! Help us to celebrate! 11a-5p, Sunday September 15th at the shop.

Now, let’s do some close reading.

By WE, we mean YOU and allll the browsers, readers, writers, and buyers, near and far, who came together to help us spread the word(s);

By ONE, we not only mean that we made it to our first birthday--ONE!!! (that never gets old!) But also that we are, out-of-the-many, ONE (hey, it’s an election year ;) so a special hat-tip to our incredible team, Claudine and Aria, at the desk, and to @SpireDesign and @Woodensongbuilder for making us look so good on the page and on the shelf; and…

By CONVERSATION we mean, as in the Latin, at its root, i.e. at the heart of its meaning, con + vertēre ‘to turn with’ or ‘turn together.’

Over the course of this past year, we have been engaged in a singular, communal conversation, at Blue Heron Books, that in its ‘being’ is ‘becoming,’ not necessarily transformative, but at every ‘turn’ sharing in the possibilities of language and art. 

So, come through, raise a glass, laugh, remember, and join the conversation. We’ll be pouring tha’ bubbly and N/A options, too, from 11-5p.
